AMD Fusion APU Officially Launches
AMD has officially launches its Fusion APU, which mainly targets at portable devices and low power consumption platform.
AMD Fusion APU is divided into two series — E series and C series codenamed "Brezos". It adopts Zacate architecture processor and DX11 display core. In addition, it’s based on 40nm manufacturing process, adopts Hudson-M1 chipset.
E series APU includes E-350 and E-240, the former is dual-core based, clocks at 1.6GHz, features 1MB L2 cache, while the latter is single-core based, clocks at 1.5GHz, packs 512KB L2 cache. Both of them integrate Radeon HD 6310 graphics core and UVD 3.0 video engine as well as TDP of 18W.
As for C series APU, it contains C-50 and C-30, C-50 is dual-core based, clocks at 1.0GHz, features 1MB L2 cache, while the latter is single-core based, clocks at 1.2GHz, packs 512KB L2 cache. Both of them integrates Radeon HD 6250 graphics core and UVD 3.0 video engine as well as TDP of 9W.
However, the APU targeting at main stream platform won’t come out until the second half of this year, which is supposed to adopts K10 architecture processor and mainstream DX11 graphics core. More information, please enter into AMD Fusion APU’s official website.
