Ubuntu for phones- the answer to mobile staleness?

Nexus 4, iPhone 5- the two flagship devices for Google and Apple. They both share a common trait (well the patent wars claim they share every trait) : a lack of freshness and something that breaks the mold.
The iPhone 5 launched with iOS 6. An OS many hoped would contain major changes and a new exciting interface, yet it was just a polishing of the same old iOS.
Nexus 4 has Jellybean, an OS that finally stands as a fast and stable Android OS, yet it is still lacking the exciting trait the first iPhone gave the world.
Most have been wanting something completely new from a mobile phone.
The only reason most don’t leave Android or Apple is because of their library of apps and money is invested into their respective markets.
Could Ubuntu be the answer?
Everyone should have a Windows/Ubuntu dual-boot on their PC. Ubuntu is secure, offers an entire marketplace of apps, a fast and easy to use desktop environment that anyone can pick up.
Unix is secure and trusted, Ubuntu is clean and crisp with an open OS ready to explode.
The Ubuntu name means Ubuntu for phones will have an established infrastructure. The video feautures HTML 5 apps, expresses highly accessible developer options, and promises that supports and security Ubuntu is popular for.
The possibilities are endless.
For the first time in a long time a device looks exciting and truly new.
Ubuntu for phones has no release date, but demos will be available at CES 2013.
