Verizon Galaxy Nexus price drop coming ?
According to Droidlife.com, Verizon is going to drop the price of the Galaxy Nexus to $199. This could be a direct way to compete with Sprint’s Galaxy Nexus offering that is coming shortly.
Maybe if the phone was at this price from the beginning, it would have sold more. I have always believed that Google made a major mistake with the Nexus on Verizon. The Nexus is supposed to include updates as soon as they occur from Google itself, if not shortly after.
Google has been heard to say they will not support this device as they have in the past due in major part to Verizon’s handling of the phone. Since launch, it’s been plagued with 4g LTE/3g handshake problems, among others. We hope that Sprint’s offering can give a true Nexus experience to challenge the iPhone 4s.
The Droid RAZR line its reaching the end of its road map and this price drop could mean new hardware is just around the corner. A RAZR HD has been rumored, but we have yet to see concrete details. More as we find out!
